Sales Lead Gen Specialist
EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Full-time, team member position
This position will be a team member position responsible for the generation of 1–2 sales leads per week for each portfolio company. These leads will be qualified and delivered to portfolio company founders and their sales teams. Ultimately, the work of this position needs to grow portfolio company sales. The position will report to the Chief Sales & Talent Officer. Additionally, this position will help deliver additional contractual obligations (as requested) to portfolio companies with a quality that exceeds industry standards and customer expectations.
Position Responsibilities & Duties
Examples of the responsibilities for the position of Sales Lead Gen Specialist, include, but are not limited to:
Attend multiple local networking and business events each week to generate leads for portfolio companies. Assist in the booth at trade shows.
Develop an automated lead gen program using Google Alerts and other tools to deliver qualified leads to portfolio companies on a weekly basis.
Identify target markets for portfolio companies and cold call weekly to generate leads for portfolio companies.
Help each portfolio company institutionalize lead gen capabilities to ensure strong deal flow.
Help build battlecards (including elevator pitches, high-yield discovery questions, etc.) and train team members to prospect.
Other related responsibilities and duties as may be assigned by senior management.
Required Position Qualifications
The following qualifications and requirements are required to successfully fulfill the duties of this position.
Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent in sales experience and training.
5+ years successful track record in sales and lead generation.
Excellent organizational, people management, and problem-solving skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
