This position will be responsible for providing the administrative support for the new UVU Women Entrepreneurs LIFT program under the Entrepreneurship Institute. The Board Liaison & Admin Intern will work closely under the Entrepreneurship Institute Director and admin, and in collaboration with the WE LIFT Programming & Events Intern, the Marketing & Sponsorship Intern, and the student representative.

The Board Liaison & Admin Intern performs moderately complex and confidential administrative support duties, which may include general office assignments, word processing, assistance with data collection, data entry, creating and/or editing written material, and/or preparation of reports, and working with faculty and students. They will be responsible for greeting and assisting customers, including visitors, students, faculty, and staff of all UVU WE LIFT events including lectures, discussion groups, networking events, service projects, program orientations, and program socials.

This is a work-study position which will be eligible for work between July 1, 2020 and May 6, 2021. Schedule: Approx. 20 hours a week.

Duties as assigned by the Director and the department admin include:

  • Coordinates day-to-day operations of the UVU WE LIFT program ensuring student and community access to appropriate services and resources.
  • Responsible for performing a variety of standard administrative tasks such as filing, mail distribution, phone support, and basic data entry.
  • Responsible for maintaining calendars, scheduling facilities, creating basic documents, and ordering office supplies.
  • Proofreads marketing copy and written communications for the UVU WE LIFT program
  • Assists the Entrepreneurship Institute admin with maintaining financial records
  • Managing touch-point/contact lists
  • Attends training’s and familiarizes themselves with university policies and procedures to serve as a guide and authority for other staff
  • Attends board meetings and takes meeting minutes
